Everyone will now be doing this form of assessment. It requires everyone to initially register with the college.
It may be worth considering associate membership with the college to obtain cheaper exmination fees as well as many other benefits. Training now requires everyone from ST1 on wards to register and complete an ongoing workbased portfolio which is accessed on the internet.
The Royal College of General Practitioners have a wealth of information on this. You are strongly advised to read all the information held on the college web site.
It vital that you understand the e-portoflio is the responsibility of the ST doctor, not the trainer. Starting early and keep a track of your portfolio is essential. Don't leave things to the last minute.
